Hedda Ottmann-Droege

Today, the business graduate Hedda Ottmann-Droege concentrates primarily on breeding and training horses from remonte to Grand Prix level.

From pony sport to Grand Prix

Hedda's riding career began with "Baroness Bibi", a cheeky pony. After switching to large horses, her first successes soon followed. In 2007, Hedda and the licensed stallion, Ehrenwort, achieved top placings at the Rhineland Championships and the "Prize of the Best". With the Westphalian mare, Fifth Avenue, she rode from success to success from 2008, so that she was honored with the Golden Riding Badge.

Several top placings in Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special helped her make the final leap to the international level, which led to her being accepted into the German B squad. The joint career was crowned with second place in the U25 Nations Cup team and third place in the individual competition at the CHIO Aachen 2011.

Since then, Hedda has focused on training and showing young horses from her own breeding. With the mare, Donatella, she took second place in the final of the Louisdor Prize in Frankfurt in 2014. In the following years, Hedda brought several of her own-bred horses into the sport, including Bonderman, Dreamgirl, Ernesto, Espe, Estella and Federle, who went on to promote horse breeding and their training with successes ranging from top placings at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses to international Grand Prix victories.
